About the event

At an official press conference, the Mehwar-e-Milli (National Axis) party formally launched a broad, popular movement under the name of the National Dialogue (Mili Maraka) — a national, people-driven and independent initiative aimed at strengthening national unity, rebuilding trust among the people, and securing lasting peace.

The conference opened with a recitation from the Holy Quran by Dr. Fazl-ul-Hadi Wazin, after which Ustad Basir Ahmad Daneshyar clearly outlined the goals, agenda and significance of the process.

The keynote speaker, Dr. Khushal Rohi, leader of the Mehwar-e-Milli party, focused on the philosophy, objectives and core values of the National Dialogue, stressing that the process belongs to no party, ethnic group or foreign country, but is a national voice rising from the hearts of the Afghan people.

A comprehensive presentation was then delivered by three key figures of the process — Ershad Ahmad Ahrar, Dr. Khushal Rohi and Dr. Mahmood Hanif Alkozai — explaining its structure, objectives, phases and practical mechanisms, followed by a question-and-answer session with media and guests moderated by Dr. Rohi and closing remarks by Dr. Ibrahim Shinwari.

The core messages of the launch were that the National Dialogue is a national, popular and independent movement open to all Afghans — women, youth, religious scholars, refugees, civil activists and academics — accessible everywhere from mosques and villages to online platforms and international halls, with a clear roadmap running from mobilisation and consultation to national jirgas and practical action.
