A Stronghold for National Interests and Values

For decades, Afghanistan has been caught in an endless cycle of war, crisis, corruption, and division. Hope seemed distant, and no unified force emerged to steer the nation toward liberation. While many of our compatriots engaged in civil and cultural initiatives, it became clear that Afghanistan’s fundamental challenge was political—and that political problems require political solutions backed by real power.

Unfortunately, political authority rested in the hands of those who prioritized personal, organizational, and ethnic interests over the nation’s well-being. Afghanistan’s destiny remained at the mercy of corrupt and self-serving forces. We realized that unless honest and capable individuals stepped forward, the country would remain trapped in turmoil. The absence of strong national institutions only deepened this crisis.

In developed nations, politics is managed by professionals and policymakers. In Afghanistan, however, politics dictates every aspect of life—our security, economy, dignity, and independence. This makes political engagement not just a choice but a moral, national, and even religious obligation.

It was no longer acceptable for power to remain in the hands of corrupt actors who neither represented the people nor safeguarded national interests. With this conviction, we—alongside a group of like-minded patriots—stepped into the political arena, determined to establish a movement that would stand firm for Afghanistan’s national identity, independence, dignity, and prosperity. Thus, Mili Mehwar was born—a political stronghold built on principles rather than personal ambition, dedicated to the greater good of the Afghan people.

Our Journey: From Social Reform to Political Leadership

Our struggle began 15 years ago under the name “Wise Afghan”, a social reform movement focused on enlightening society and fighting against ignorance, corruption, and division. Over time, two other youth-led initiatives, Wise Youth and Today’s Youth Civil Society, joined our cause, leading to the formation of the Afghan National Movement. This movement became a platform for advocating peace, social justice, independence, and democracy, organizing significant protests, campaigns, and conferences across the country. However, we soon recognized that Afghanistan needed more than just activism it required a national political party capable of leading the country toward a stable future. In 1395 (solar calendar), we held our first congress and officially established Mili Mehwar as a political party committed to Afghanistan’s national interests and values.

که څه هم په افغانستان کې ډېر سیاسي ګوندونه شتون لري، خو ملي محور د خپلو لارښودو اصولو له لارې جلا ولاړ دی:

د نظریاتو غورځنګ، نه د شخصي ګټو – د هغو ګوندونو برعکس چې د واک په لټه کې د اشخاصو شاوخوا جوړ شوي دي، ملي مهور په اصولو، ارزښتونو او ملي یووالي ولاړ دی.
اوږدمهاله لید، نه لنډمهاله سیاست – چیرې چې نور په فرصت غوښتونکو ګټو تمرکز کوي، موږ د دوامداره او ستراتیژیکو ملت جوړونې هڅو کې پانګونه کوو.
ډله ییزه رهبري، نه د شخصیتي فرقو – ډیری ګوندونه د یو واحد شخصیت شاوخوا ګرځي؛ موږ په ټیم ورک، سازماني ځواک، او ګډ مسؤلیت باور لرو.
ملي یووالی، نه وېش – موږ قومي، سیمه ییز یا فرقه ییز اجنډا ردوو. زموږ ماموریت دا دی چې ټول افغانان د یوې ګډې ملي هویت لاندې سره متحد کړو.
خلک د واک پر سر – پداسې حال کې چې نور ګوندونه د واک په لټه کې دي، موږ هڅه کوو چې خلک د خپل غږ په توګه ځواکمن کړو، مشران حساب ورکوونکي وساتو، او د هغو حل لارو ملاتړ وکړو چې ټول ملت ته ګټه رسوي.

سره له دې چې په افغانستان کې ایډیالیزم او ارزښتونو پر بنسټ سیاست کم شوی، موږ ثابت پاتې یو. موږ پوهیږو چې ریښتینی بدلون صبر، وقف او قربانۍ ته اړتیا لري. کله چې جمهوریت ړنګ شو، ډیری سیاسي ګوندونه ورک شول مګر ملی مهر نه یوازې ژوندی پاتې شو، بلکې پراخ شو.

A Nationwide Movement: Strength in Unity

Today, Mili Mehwar has an active presence across Afghanistan, with branches in multiple provinces and representatives from all walks of life. The majority of our members are young professionals, but our movement includes individuals of all generations.

Women play a significant role in Mili Mehwar, with dedicated branches focused on female leadership. Additionally, our party has established strong international networks in the UK, Germany, the USA, and Canada. Given the risks of political activism inside Afghanistan, many of our external members work to amplify our message on the global stage.

The Khushal Baba Intellectual Movement

In 1392, we launched the Khushal Baba Intellectual Movement—an academic and educational initiative designed to promote awareness, national consciousness, and intellectual development among Afghan youth. This movement has since expanded, organizing hundreds of seminars, conferences, workshops, and educational programs to foster a spirit of enlightenment and civic responsibility.

Our Vision: A Dignified Afghanistan

At the heart of Mili Mehwar is a commitment to human, Islamic, and Afghan values. We believe that democracy is the best system for representing the national will, and our hope is to see an Afghanistan where:

The people decide their political destiny.
Dignity and peace replace fear and oppression.
No Afghan is forced to flee their homeland.
Every citizen—regardless of gender, ethnicity, language, or faith feels a sense of belonging and ownership.
Fundamental human rights, tolerance, and national unity prevail over division and despair.

Our Political Strategy: A Path to Change

We do not expect our aspirations to materialize under the Taliban, as they have consistently rejected democracy, civil liberties, and modern progress. However, we believe that through peaceful civil resistance and strategic political engagement, we can push for reforms and pave the way for a national alternative.

To achieve this, we must work on four parallel fronts:

Long-Term Party Building – Afghanistan needs strong, sustainable national parties that offer a genuine political alternative. We must invest in institutional development and coalition-building.
Short-Term Unity for Change – National, democratic, and peace-loving forces must coordinate efforts and form a broad political alliance with clear goals and mechanisms.
National Dialogue – A comprehensive and inclusive dialogue is essential to achieving political stability and lasting peace. This must start among national forces before expanding to all sectors of society.
Reviving National Values – Decades of war have eroded patriotism, responsibility, and trust. We must restore national integrity, honesty, and unity to counteract the culture of indifference and opportunism.

Our Resolve: Building the Future Together

یوه عامه پوښتنه چې موږ یې اورو دا ده: ایا ملي مهر کولی شي د یو لوی ملي ګوند تشه ډکه کړي؟

ځواب هو دی خو یوازې نه دی. موږ اصول، لیدلوری او ژمن مشرتابه لرو. خو ریښتینې بریا ستاسو په هر افغان پورې اړه لري چې د مات شوي نظام منلو څخه انکار کوي او د ښه راتلونکي لپاره د مبارزې جرئت کوي.

ننګونې پاتې دي:

له سیاست څخه ناهیلي کېدو ډیری خلک دې ته اړ کړي چې مخ واړوي، او فاسدو اشرافو ته یې اجازه ورکړې چې کنټرول وساتي.
ډیری روڼ اندي د یوې بشپړې ډلې په تمه دي، د دې پر ځای چې د یوې ډلې په جوړولو کې ونډه واخلي.
د لسیزو ویش او بې باورۍ یووالي ستونزمن کړی دی، خو ناممکن نه دی.

سره له دې خنډونو، ملي محور د افغانستان د ملي وقار د بیرته ترلاسه کولو، د سیاسي یووالي د پیاوړتیا او د هغو ارزښتونو د بیا راژوندي کولو لپاره ژمن پاتې کیږي چې یو وخت یې دا ملت پیاوړی کړی و. د افغان خلکو په ملاتړ سره، موږ به نه یوازې د یو لوی ملي ګوند تشه ډکه کړو، بلکې هغه ځواک به شو چې د افغانستان برخلیک بیا جوړوي.
